Motorcycle Customisation - From Simple Spraying To Complex Artwork
The complete motorcyle fabrication and custom painting service.

The majority of my work is carried out on motor cycles and about 80% of that is custom paintwork. I start every project by discussing at length with a customer what they are looking for their motorcycle and how we achieve a custom finish, whether that is based on an effect they have seen elsewhere or just an idea in their head. Photos of what a customer likes or dislikes can always help to work out an initial design.

Creating an individual customisation means I never produce the same results twice. I am happy to work from existing artwork but in the majority of cases I will work with the owner to adapt it to ensure it is unique. I much prefer to adapt a custom paint design to fit the bike rather than just have it applied to it as the finish becomes part of the bike.

Unlike some other customisers I don't work to two standards, I pride myself that all work is to 'show' standard and I am more than happy to do both the nice simple jobs as well as the more complex. Many of the bikes I work on win awards at shows and remember, the first thing you see is the paint and the last thing you forget is the paint - Good or bad! The price will naturally depend on the materials used and time needed for the project but I am able to work within a budget where possible.

All work is prepared usually by shot blast and any necessary repairs carried out first then primed with a high build primer 2 pack. The lacquer I use is House of Colour as this has the best gloss and is designed for many coats which is what is needed for custom painting (see panel on vehicles page).

A Tribute to The Few...
Battle of Britain tribute on two motorcycles...

I was pleased to be commisioned to create two tributes to those who took part in the Battle of Britain by the owner of a modified 1100cc Harley-Davidson V-Rod (tribute to' The Few') and a 900cc Triumph Bonneville ('Bomber Command'). You can read the story behind these projects by visiting the website of Global Aviation Resource.
